Louisa Flynn - Podiatrist

Louisa Flynn

Podiatrist

Louisa graduated from Queens University in Belfast with a degree in Podiatric Medicine.

Form there she went to work in the NHS across the UK for a number of years, concentrating eventually on developing and running an NHS biomechanical department in one of the Trusts. Since there work has taken her to Dublin working in private practice for a number of years and in 2004 she returned to Galway to open Coiscéim Foot Clinic and begin work with the HSE.

Louisa undertook an MPhil in NUIG investigating vascular status in Diabetes and has work with the HSE as a clinician and Clinical Tutor in the School of Podiatry, University of Galway since then.

Currently a real area of interest is nail reconstruction and bracing along with providing Nail Surgery training to the 4 th year podiatry students in University of Galway.

Louisa is Coru registered and really enjoys working as a Podiatrist and helping relieve and solve foot problems of all shapes and sizes.

Orla Quinn - Podiatrist

Orla began her career as a nurse before graduating with a Bsc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine form the University of Westminster. Following her graduation, she worked with the Camden and Islington Health Authority for two years. After this, she returned to Ireland to establish a private practice in Ballina, while also covering clinics for the Western Health Board. 

Orla has also served as the podiatrist for the Galway Hospice, working within the Galway University Hospital wards and providing clinical education for  students at the University of Galway School of Podiatric Medicine.

In 2008, Orla partnered with Louisa and together they relocated to their current clinic in 2018. Orla has developed a specialized expertise in dermatology, nail surgery, nail reconstruction, heel pain management, taping, Swift treatment for verrucae and orthotics.

Lynday Kyne - Podiatrist

Lynda Kyne Bsc. Pod Med, Pg cert.Vasc, MPI

Podiatrist

Lynda graduated with a first class honours degree in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Galway and has since completed postgraduate studies in vascular disease of the lower limb.

She has a broad interest in all conditions of the foot and ankle, in particular the diabetic foot and the effects of inflammatory conditions on the lower limb.

Lynda is keen on developing her skills in dermatology with recent research displayed at the Royal College of Podiatry Conference in 2023.

She enjoys providing patient-centered care while continuously striving to develop her scope of practice.
